Walking for health

Walking is low impact exercise and walking for 30 minutes a day or more is a great way to improve your overall health. As we are walking together we not only improve our health but it turns into an enjoyable social activity. There are many health benefits of walking such as: improving heart and lung fitness, reduces risk of stroke, reduces body fat, increases muscle strength and endurance, increases balance and helps improve conditions such as high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, muscular pain or stiffness and diabetes.

It also improves pelvic floor as we laugh a lot 😂 everyone is given a warm welcome.

Soundbath

Sound bath meditation is an ancient practice designed to bring deep states of relaxation and meditation. It uses a variety of instruments, including Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and sometimes the human voice, to create a landscape of sound that washes over you.

The instruments each may offer unique healing frequencies. Himalayan singing bowls are renowned for soothing tones that may promote relaxation and stress reduction.  Crystal bowls produce clear, high-frequency sounds that many believe cleanse and balance the chakras. Gongs add depth with powerful, reverberating sounds, while chimes bring a light, ethereal quality to the experience.

The combination of sound waves is designed to be heard but also felt physically, engaging the parasympathetic nervous system and encouraging a deep state of relaxation. This may help lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormone levels, and slow the heart rate, inviting the body to potentially heal and restore itself and enhance wellbeing.

Sound baths can be healing on many levels, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Here are just some of the believed benefits of sound baths.

  • Increased relaxation
  • Improved sleep
  • Stress reduction
  • Anxiety reduction
  • Improved mental clarity
  • Increased feelings of wellbeing
  • Reduced pain
  • Enhanced spiritual wellbeing
  • Enhanced creativity
  • Boosted immune system

Eating for health

I am passionate about food. You can eat yourself to good health and for me to say this is HUGE!! After spending a lifetime of having an unhealthy relationship with food.  That is my past as I realised that eating the right foods made my frequent visits to the GP turn to practically never seeing them!  If my health starts changing I adjust my diet to improve the condition.

I am qualified in behaviour change coaching in relation to health and diet.

I am still working on this qualification  Level 4  (RSPH – Royal Society of Public Health)  However, I am fully qualified to work with you and had many successes! Including behaviour change coaching.
